The Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation has been presenting an annual Jazz & Blues Festival at the Jersey Shore for many years. Although the location has varied and has had many different names, there has always been excellent live jazz and blues.

The 2023 Long Branch Jazz & Blues Festival Lineup has been announced. The event will take place on August 26 from 1-9:30 pm at The Great Lawn, Boardwalk at 10 Ocean Blvd in Long Branch, NJ.

Here’s the list of this year’s performers…

  • Popa Chubby

This year’s headliner will be Bronx native and international blues legend Popa Chubby. Touring behind his 2022 release, “Emotional Gangster,” he has been entertaining audiences in America and Europe since returning from the pandemic.

  • Eliza Neals

Vocalist and keyboard player Eliza Neals will bring her band to the Great Lawn stage for the first time. Fresh off the Mustique Blues Festival and sold-out shows at Buddy Guy’s Legends club in Chicago, she will light up the stage with songs from her latest collection, “Badder to the Bone.”

  • The Andy Rothstein Band

The Andy Rothstein Band represents the best in jazz fusion, with their 2022 release “Truth Against the World” getting much critical acclaim. Original compositions performed by some of the best musicians.

  • Anthony Krizan

Anthony Krizan, formally of the Spin Doctors, has been fronting his own band and writing some great songs as evidenced by the “Dust and Bone” release. Most recently, he spent time in Nashville which resulted in some excellent new tunes which have been getting a lot of attention.

  • Audra Mariel

Audra Mariel has been entertaining jazz fans locally for most of her young adult life. Her personal interpretations of the Great American Songbook are inspired and brought to life by an excellent band.

  • Regina Bonelli

A dynamic live performer Regina Bonelli returns to the blues with her new disc “Truth Hurts,” a tour de force where modern soul and vintage blues meet.
