  • Asbury Park

    Asbury Park Beaches

    Asbury Park's mile of sand and water has been drawing surfers, swimmers, sunbathers, fishers, and people-watchers for centuries. The Asbury Park Boardwalk is home to mini golf, music, playgrounds, restaurants, retail, a splash park, and more.

  • Atlantic City

In the year 1891, the Atlantic City Council officially adopted the ordinance to create the agency now referred to nationwide as the "Beach Patrol" or "Constables of the Surf".

    If you ordered online and have not picked up your badge by May 11th you must pick it up at Taylor Pavilion. 9am to 6pm (Fridays, weekends and holidays begining Memorial Day weekend) 9am to 5pm (Weekdays beginning mid June) The fee for daily badges is $10 per day children 13 and under are free.

    Beach Tag Program

    The Cape May Point Beach Tag Program has been in operation since 1972. We provide a number of services on the beaches here at the Point. We sell daily, weekly, and seasonal beach tags to anyone 12 and over who wishes to gain access to our beaches from the 3rd Saturday in June through Labor Day while lifeguards are on duty.

    – $45 seasonal ($36 if bought before May 31)
    – FREE: Children 11 and younger, Veterans/active service members and their immediate families

  • Point Pleasant Beach (Jenkinson's)

    Hours are as follows: Saturday thru Friday from April 8 thru September 4, 2023. - 9am - 3pm 2023 Long Beach Township Seasonal Beach Badges (Regular Seasonal, Senior Citizen Seasonal and Veteran (lifetime) Seasonal) for Long Beach Township only. Long Beach Township badges are not for Barnegat Light, Harvey Cedars, Surf City, Ship Bottom or Beach Haven Borough.

    – Badges are not required for children 11 years of age and under.

    No person shall bathe or swim from the beachfront except from the protected public bathing beaches where ropes, buoys, boats and lifeguards are provided by the city, and only if lifeguards are on duty.

    Seasonal beach tags for summer 2023 will go on sale starting Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022. A discounted $30 price will remain in effect through May 31, 2023. On June 1, the price increases to $35. Beach Tags are required for all beachgoers, ages 12 and older, and are in effect from June 3, 2023 through September 3 2023.

    Beach control operations are led by Anne VanHise from the North Beach office located on the Boardwalk at Kearney Avenue. The staff includes dozens of beach attendants and cashiers. Seaside Heights charges a beach fee to help defray expenses related to providing visitors one of the cleanest and safest public beaches on the East Coast.
