In Memoriam: My Favorite Pics of Kim and Pete and Theories Why It Didn’t Work Out for “Kete”

I don't know about you, but Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson, aka Kete, were one of my favorite celebrity couples. It seems like just yesterday that they shared a kiss in the Aladdin skit on Saturday Night Live. Kim played Jasmine and Pete was Aladdin, and the nine-month magic carpet ride has run out of gas or ran out of whatever magic carpets run on. I guess they run on magic, and maybe the high cost of magic lately was too much for their relationship to withstand.

I really enjoyed reading, watching, and talking about them every day. It's very disappointing, mainly because they seemed to be so happy and had so much in common. For instance, Kim's mother Kris loves Kim, and Pete's mother Amy hates Kim, opposites attract. Kim is thirteen years older than Pete, ironically Kim was thirteen years old when Pete was born... do you think this is a coincidence? Me neither.

So why didn't it work out? Perhaps Pete was jealous of Kim's cat Mercy #2. Mercy #2 is less than a year old and demands a lot of her attention. It's possible Kim chose her kitty one too many times over Pete. There's also the theory that Kim wasn't comfortable with the age difference, Pete is 27 years older than Mercy #2.

Some have suggested that it was the stress the relationship had to sustain from Kim's former husband...Kris Humphies. Kris has remained virtually silent during the entire affair, one would surmise that his unobtrusiveness and lack of threats obviously put a strain on their kinship that was simply unbearable.

Then there's the distance issue. Long-distance relationships are difficult for any couple, not to mention couples whose every move is magnified under the scrutiny of the public. The traveling was absurd, sometimes it would take them several hours to get from the bedroom to the kitchen, that's a big house!

Nevertheless, these pictures that I had the honor of not taking, are all I have to potentially and fondly remember my favorite celebrity couple of all time, not including other celebrity couples.

This one is my favorite because they're climbing stairs together, then they stop and look back for a picture. There are two sides to this, some say they stopped because someone yelled, "Hey Kete," while others say there were a lot of steps so they paused to rest.

This one is my favorite because they're on the balcony of a theatre. One might think that they're both staring at who they think is Kanye, but then they realize it's someone else named Kanye so they feel relieved and laugh hysterically for several minutes.

This one is my favorite because it has two other people in it. Allegedly, Elon Musk is trying to rent Kete a new Tesla and Corey Gamble is advising them not to get the added insurance.

This one is my favorite because it's a picture of Pete and Kim during a sketch on Saturday Night Live. Rumor has it that Kim stepped away just before this picture of the two of them was taken.

This one is my favorite because I ran out of pictures of Kim and Pete and this Kevin Bacon picture was available to fill in. A source says he is smiling because he is upset about Kim and Pete's breakup.
