How is it that internet memes are created? Well, sometimes it’s from someone doing something funny, or it can even be a little embarrassing. Other times it’s from whatever drama or cultural hit that is popular.
However, there are some memes that just become popular for no reason. Like the latest one with popular singer Adele.
To give a little context, Adele was spotted at the NBA All-star finals with Rich Paul. Some are more focused on the interactions between the two of them, but what the internet is more focused on is when a camera operator decided to zoom up on Adele.
She seemingly ignored it looking away and even doing a small lip smack. Now if she were anyone else this wouldn’t matter, but the internet took it upon themselves to turn it into a meme similar to the Bernie Sanders Inauguration meme that took over the internet last year. Now the fans have always referred to Adele as a walking meme, based off previous reactions she’s had to either events or even while livestreaming over on her Instagram. It may not have been on purpose that she avoided eye contact with the camera, but at the same time most are saying it has the appearance that she is doing it on purpose.
It just goes to show how creative some people can be that you can do absolutely nothing and still become a trending hashtag on social media.
