Volunteer or Donate: Court-Appointed Special Advocates for Children

December 312019

Court-Appointed Special Advocates for Children of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties (CASA SHaW) works to ensure that needed services and assistance are made available to abused or neglected children.

How to Become Involved

  • Volunteer. CASA SHaW needs trained community volunteers who are appointed by a juvenile court judge to speak for an abused or neglected child’s best interests. Volunteers are required to complete 30 hours of pre-service training, submit to screening and background checks, and be 21 years of age or older.
  • Donation. CASA SHaW is a private, not-for-profit organization that relies on donations to run their program.
