South Brunswick’s National Night Out

August 6201312:00 am

Join Magic 98.3 and the South Brunswick Police Department for the National Night Out as we “help take a bite out of crime.” Come to Rowland Park for a fun night out with the family!

The event, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), was designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit and send a message to the criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

The event will kick off with the South Brunswick Police Color Guard holding the U.S. Flag with the National Anthem.  National Night Out vendors and sponsors from the community will show up in full force with free food and games, along with rides and a bouncy castle for children as well as a dunk tank.

Many of the Law Enforcement agencies tables set up to raise community awareness.  Along with the booths, there will be vehicles from all of the departments involved including police carss and motorcycles, Emergency Medical Technicians, and fire trucks with the fire dogs along with them.

McGruff the Crime Dog will also make a special appearance.  The popular character, through public appearances and television cartoons, builds crime awareness for children and the community.
