CONTEST RULES

These rules apply to the Magic 98.3 & Karma Cat Black Cat Bash Pet Costume Contest 2024

(“Contest”) conducted by Beasley Media Group, LLC d/b/a WMGQ-FM 98.3 (the “Station”). In addition, the General Contest Rules posted at www.magic983.com apply to this Contest. If there is a conflict between the General Contest Rules and the Rules for this Contest, the Rules for this Contest shall control.

1. HOW TO ENTER

2024. The Contest will begin on September 13, 2024 and end on September 29, 2024.

983. To enter online, visit www.magic983.com and follow the links and instructions to enter the Contest and complete and submit the online entry form including a photo of your pet (“Photo”) beginning on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET (“Online Entry Period”). Online entrants are subject to all notices posted online including but not limited to the Station's Privacy Policy. Limit one (1) entry per eligible person per pet during the Online Entry Period regardless if entrant has more than one email address. Limit one (1) pet per submission. Any photo with more than one (1) pet will not be accepted. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Entries submitted may not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by the Contest administrator. The same pet may not be entered more than one (1) time.
984. Each Photo must be submitted in digital form in JPEG or PNG format. Entrants must fill in all required fields, including name, email, phone number and date of birth in the online entry form. Each Photo submitted may feature only the pet and must not contain copyrighted materials or any other materials that may be restricted, prohibited, or outlawed by any laws, or materials that may otherwise infringe on the rights of a third party. Entrant acknowledges and agrees that professional photographs (i.e., photographs taken by a photographer who was paid to take such photographs) are not eligible unless the entrant has rights to post that Photo. The Photo may not invade publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person’s personal or proprietary rights including but not limited to copyrights or trademarks. The Station shall have the right to disqualify any entrant if it determines that the Photo contains copyrighted material or material that infringes on the rights of another; indecent or otherwise offensive material such as violence or drug abuse; or if such Photo contains material that is deemed to be unsuitable for a public audience. Photo will be posted on each Station’s website at magic983.com or and by submitting a Photo, entrant (1) certifies that he or she has all rights necessary to use the Photo, and (2) grants Station permission to use the Photo for Contest and other promotional purposes. The Station’s determinations with respect to all such matters shall be made in its sole discretion and shall be final. Photos that do not comply with these rules will not be eligible for the Contest.
985. There will be up to a total of one (1) Grand Prize winner selected in the Contest.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

1. This Contest is open to all Station listeners who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry into the Contest, who are legal US residents and reside in New Jersey, except where prohibited by law. Winners must possess a valid, government-issued ID and show proof of New Jersey residency to verify eligibility. Station may require winner to provide proof of pet ownership upon request.

3. PRIZES

200. Up to one (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize consists of: (i) the winning pet Photo being on display at Karma Cat’s Black Cat Bash on Saturday, October 19^th, 2024 from 6:30PM – 10:30PM ET at 21 Oakmont Ave, East Brunswick, NJ 08816; (ii) a pair of tickets to Karma Cat’s Black Cat Bash and; (iii) an assortment of WMGQ promotional merchandise. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize is $200.

The winner(s) will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize(s). The prize(s) is awarded as is. Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable or transferable, and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time, nor will tickets be replaced if lost or stolen. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event is unable to take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond control of the Station and/or prize provider, their sole responsibility to the winner(s) will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize(s) and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the unawarded element(s) of the prize(s). The Station and/or venue, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to deny entry to or to remove the winner(s) and/or guest(s) if either engages in disruptive behavior or in a manner with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the prize-related event.

8816. Prizes or prize certificates must be claimed on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Karma Cat’s Black Cat Bash at 21 Oakmont Ave, East Brunswick, NJ 08816. Failure to claim Prize by the specified time will result in forfeiture of the prize. It is the winner’s sole responsibility to claim the prize or prize certificate within the timeline provided in these Official Rules.

4. SELECTION OF WINNERS

983. Beginning on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 10:00AM ET and ending on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET, listeners will be encouraged to go online at magic983.com and vote for his/her favorite pet. Each person may cast a maximum of one (1) vote per hour during the voting period. The Grand Prize winner will be determined by the pet Photo with the most votes at the conclusion of the voting period.

1. Entrants are permitted to vote, along with any other Station listeners. The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the voting process or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. In addition, any person tampering with the voting process on behalf of one of the entrants will result in the disqualification of that entrant. All votes must be received by the closing of the applicable voting period.

1. Entrants are not required to listen to the Station to win but the winner must be present at the Karma Cat’s Black Cat Bash to claim the Grand Prize as described above.

1. Entrant will be notified of winning via phone call and/or email promptly following the conclusion of the voting period.

1. Decisions of Station management with respect to the Contest are final.

5. CONDITIONS

983. The Station reserves the right to end any contest or amend these rules upon announcement on air and by publication at magic983.com.

983. For website contests: By use of the Station’s website and by entering this Contest, entrants agree to the Station’s Terms of Service Agreement and to the use of Personal Information as stated in the Privacy Policy located at magic983.com
