The Garden State Film Festival is celebrating its 23rd anniversary from March 27 to March 30. It will feature 205 films from over 14 countries in 9 venues, including a full day of screenings in multiple New Jersey towns.
Everyone who attends will see a huge variety of film genres. There will be feature films along with documentaries and some films created by students as well.
The festival will also offer several films with subtitles for the hearing impaired and feature a series for those with visual impairment.
There will be multiple special events which will include some panel discussions, a red-carpet gala, and an awards dinner honoring many industry professionals and educators.
The Asbury Park, New Jersey venues that will be participating in the 23rd anniversary Garden State Film Festival include the Kingsley Ballroom and the Continental Ballroom at the Berkeley Ocean Front Hotel, the Asbury Lanes, and the Asbury Hall at the Asbury Hotel.
Also participating will be the Cranford Theatre in Cranford, New Jersey, and the Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove, New Jersey.
According to their website, The Garden State Film Festival, “is New Jersey’s Premier Independent Film Festival that enriches our state with robust year-round programming. The Garden State Film Festival was born in 2002 after a chance encounter in a Sea Girt, New Jersey grocery store by film industry veteran Diane Raver and the well-known Hollywood actor Robert Pastorelli. Through their deep ties to Hollywood, Mr. Pastorelli and Ms. Raver were able to bring an all-encompassing event to the State of New Jersey. It premiered in 2003 and was immediately deemed a huge success.”
2025 Honorees are Receiving the Following Awards
The Honorary Chair for the festival is Gannon Murphy, Gannon currently leads Cinelease Studios, overseeing both the Studio Division and Lighting & Grip Division.
