Trenton Brings Two Local Favorites Together In One Location
The city has approved $200,000 in federal American Rescue Plan money to build a new coffee shop and bakery at South Warren and East Front streets. The space will bring together two local favorites, Rojo’s Roastery and The Gingered Peach bakery, in one location.
For owner Joanne Canady-Brown, this downtown spot will be the flagship location for Rojo’s Roastery after the original was lost due to flooding. This new spot will feature both businesses will be under one roof. Located at a busy intersection, the shop will bring new food options to the area.
The funding is part of Trenton’s push to help small businesses grow and bringing job opportunities for area residents. The timeline for construction hasn’t been announced yet. The corner location puts the business right near city offices and the main business area.
Canady-Brown shared a post on Instagram, where she said “The store will be a coffee roastery, community gathering place and additional baking and training space for The Peach.”
