Survey Reveals When New Jersey is Stressed Most at Work
Most of us are stressed at work here in New Jersey from time to time, with some more than others. I consider my job relatively low-stress, but sometimes I feel some pressure for various reasons. I’ve never really monitored or recorded these moments to gauge when they occur.
According to a new survey by VoiceNation.com, there are particular times during the day, week, month, and year when we are feeling the least and most pressure.
Month That New Jersey Workers Stress Least
For example, the study discovered which months New Jersey workers feel the pressure most. According to the survey, Garden State employees are the least tight during May, August, September, and October. When asked about these months, only 3% said that they felt the intensity was at its peak.
December was found to be the month with the most strain. Presumably because of the year-end fourth quarter closing business pressure combined with the festive but intense feeling of the holidays.
Jersey’s Day of the Week With Most Stress
As you may have guessed, Monday is by far the day workers say they feel is the most tension-filled day of the week. More than half of those asked, about 53%, shared that they don’t like Mondays because it’s when their anxiety reaches its highest mark.
I would think that Friday is when we feel the tension the least, but that’s not the case. Friday is a distant second behind Monday with 14% of the participants claiming Friday causes more stress than the mid-week days. Wednesday is one percentage point behind Friday at 13% followed by Tuesday at 10%.
My busiest day of the week which I would say has the highest pressure is Thursday. However, the study shows that for most office workers in New Jersey and across the country, Thursday brings the least amount of stress at 9%.
Time of Day When Jersey Stress is High
I know that when the afternoon rolls around and the end of the workday is in sight, the taxing feeling of the long workday is alleviated. This is confirmed by the survey participants who say that the morning between nine and ten is when they feel the most stressed during the day.
The stressful feeling subsides after six with only 2% saying the tension is at its peak.
