Central Jersey Diaper Bank Can Really Use Your Help

The Anshe Emeth Community Development Corporation’s mission is to provide “free social and health-related services to the neediest in our community, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, ability, age or gender.” One of those services is to provide much-needed free disposable diapers to families in Central Jersey through the Central Jersey Diaper Bank.

Central Jersey Diaper Bank

The Central Jersey Diaper Bank is one of the programs of the Anshe Emeth Community Development Corporation. It serves our neighbors in Middlesex and Somerset Counties. They provide “free disposable diapers, wipes, formula, and baby clothing.”  They also offer car seats and strollers when possible. These specific items are provided because of the need to keep babies and young children healthy and safe.

The Central Jersey Diaper Bank depends mostly on its volunteers. If you would like to join their Delivery Squad click here. Your help is needed to prepare bundles of clothing, assist with donation pick-ups, or maybe host a diaper drive. The CJDB is located on Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick.

Magic 98.3 and the Central Jersey Diaper Bank

Magic 98.3, St. Peter’s University Hospital, and Magyar Bank have partnered with the Central Jersey Diaper Bank for our inaugural Diaper Drive.

We spoke with Heather Nover, the Executive Director of the Anshe Emeth Community Development Corporation and Central Jersey Diaper Bank about the diaper drive. Heather shared, “Diaper need is an issue that really doesn’t get talked about much, but it’s a huge issue for families in this country. A recent study shows that around forty-seven percent of families don’t have enough diapers to keep their children clean, dry, and healthy. It’s a problem that unless you know about it, you don’t know about it.” Listen to our complete conversation with Heather here:

We’re collecting donations now through Wednesday, May 8th. If you can help, we ask that you drop off new boxes of diapers or other baby essentials like formula or baby wipes at the Magic 98.3 studios at 78 Veronica Avenue in Somerset. You can also donate by dropping off items at any area Magyar Bank Branch. Magyar has locations in Branchburg, Bridgewater, Edison (Tano Mall), Edison (Inman Avenue), South Brunswick, North Brunswick, or their Corporate Headquarters in New Brunswick.

Celebrities Who Welcomed Babies In 2023

In 2023, lots of celebrity couples welcomed babies. Some celebrated the birth of their very first child, while others, added a new bundle of joy to their growing family. In some cases, celebrities who couldn’t have a natural birth have welcomed children via surrogate. No matter how their children were brought into the world, a baby is a blessing. These stars have opened up about their pregnancy journey and celebrated with fans as they welcomed their newborns. There must be something in the celebrity gene pool that makes their babies not look like aliens fresh out of the womb because their newborns are so adorable.

Approximately 134.28 million births will occur across the globe in 2023, according to the United Nation’s medium variant of the population projections. Based on that projection, there should be an average of about 368,000 births per day in 2023. However, birth rates have declined in most states across the US in recent years, as women are having babies at an older age, according to data released by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Birth rates among women in their late 30s and early 40s rose in the last decade, and the birth rate among women over 45 also exceeded one birth per 1,000 population for the first time in more than a decade. Meanwhile, the teen birth rate dropped to a record low last year, according to the data.
