Bluey Coming to Bridgewater Today for Kids Opening Day
Bluey Coming TD Bank Ballpark
There’s always something more to do, see, or experience when you pack up the family and head out to a baseball game. This is especially true for fans of the Somerset Patriots, the New York Yankees Double-A affiliate. The fact that they’re having Bluey at the game is huge.
Bluey Plays Ball
The Somerset Patriots were somehow able to get Bluey, the biggest blue cartoon dog since Blue from Blue’s Clues to host their game against the Richmond Flying Squirrels today. The first pitch is at 1:05 pm. It’s Kids Opening Day at TD Bank Ballpark and the Squirrels aren’t the only things that will be flying at the park today. The kids are going to be flipping over their chance to see, meet, and greet Bluey live and in person (or in dog).
How to Meet Bluey
Bluey will be hanging out on the main concourse during the game for anyone who would like their picture taken with her. It all starts around 1:15 pm and continues through the whole game.
There’s also the opportunity for a pre-game VIP Meet and Greet with Bluey. The VIP Meet and Greet is from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm. It also includes a buffet lunch, and seats on the Party Deck to watch the game.
Bluey may be the biggest attraction for kids at the game, but not the only one. Kids can also join in for the parade on the field, a conga line led by another awesome dog, Sparkee, and kids run the bases after the game.
Who is Bluey and Where Did She Come From?
Bluey, like Blue from Blue’s Clues, is a girl. She and her family are “Australian Cattle Dogs,” also known as “Blue Heelers.” The family comprises Bluey, her dad Bandit, her Mom, Chilli, and her sister Bingo. Chilli and Bingo are “Red Heelers.”
Bluey is similar to Peppa Pig, except her family is from Australia and gained popularity, fame, and fortune much faster than Peppa. Bluey was the second most streamed show last year and was responsible for just under thirty percent of Disney Plus’ views.
