Video of Raccoon Getting Donut at Dunkin’ Drive-Thru Window Goes Viral

This is the cutest thing ever, and perfect for National Donut Day!

We have a few raccoons that hang out around our building and when I arrived early in the morning I will run into them from time to time. They usually scamper when they see me, but sometimes they’ll stop and stare to see what I’m going to do.

I will usually say something like, “It’s ok, I’m not going to hurt you" or "I don’t want any trouble.” I’ll then say “Hi Bandit” (All raccoons are named Bandit) and tell them that they can help themselves to the food we leave for the family of cats we feed each day by our front door.

Then, of course, I remember that they most likely don’t speak English, and I’m wasting my time. After my language barrier realization, I walk past him or her with a nod of my head and go inside. If I knew what language they spoke I would most certainly download me some “Babble.”

We also have other cute critters that congregate in our parking lot, and there was one instance when I saved a skunk named “Stinky.” Stinky had a plastic Dunkin’ cup stuck on its head and I knocked it off with a rock. You can read that story here, but it’s not as cute as this one…

The most unexpectedly polite and doughnut-obsessed raccoon in the world was captured on video and has gone viral on TikTok.

Samantha Jane Guptill, who goes by @samguptuppy on TikTok, shared a video of a raccoon (presumably named “Bandit”). Bandit very carefully and methodically makes its way up to the Dunkin' drive-thru window where it is offered a complimentary vanilla-frosted donut and then runs off like a happy thief to enjoy the delicious baked good privately.

She captioned "#Raccoon at #Dunkin proves that EVERYONE RUNS ON DUNKIN." As you see in the video, the restaurant worker actually hands the donut to Bandit who grabs it with its paws and scampers off. #SoCute!

Since it was posted it’s nabbed over 21 million views and over 4 million likes.
