My Fair Lady Coming to State Theatre New Jersey [Interview]

Michael Hegarty who plays Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady at State Theatre New Jersey is right chuffed to be part of this production, having recently appeared in the First National Tour of Bartlett Sher’s Fiddler on The Roof. Michael’s other theatre credits include The Producers, Les Miserables, Footloose, Kinky Boots. His TV and film credits include Tommy (with Edie Falco), and Better Nate Than Ever.

michael hegartyFrom Lincoln Center Theater and director Bartlett Sher comes “a sumptuous new production of the most perfect musical of all time” (Entertainment Weekly), Lerner & Loewe’s My Fair Lady. Boasting such classic songs as “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “The Rain in Spain,” and “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly,” My Fair Lady tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a young Cockney flower seller, and Henry Higgins, a linguistics professor who is determined to transform her into his idea of a “proper lady.” But who is really being transformed? 

My Fair Lady at State Theatre New Jersey Friday, January 27th at 8 pm, Saturday, January 28th at 2 pm and 8 pm, and Sunday, January 29th at 2 pm.

Atlantic City has been named among the top 20 New Year’s Eve destinations and it shouldn’t come as a surprise to most due to the fact that there are nonstop entertainment options year-round.
