Weight Loss Drug Makes Your Favorite Bad Food Unappealing
Would you consider a drug that was meant for diabetes and use it to lose weight instead? How about a drug that has you lose your cravings for your favorite junk food like chocolate and instead have you craving for a kale salad instead? Let’s face it, it could be a ‘game changer’ weight-loss drug by making people feel disgusted when eating their favorite foods like french fries. Not sure how this drug has caused their taste buds to have changed, but it makes you feel like you can no longer stomach your favorite foods. Even experts aren’t sure what’s going on, but it could involve how hormones and taste buds interact. I don’t know about you but to me, food has always brought me joy and fond memories, especially around the holidays.
Business Insider says the weight loss drug Semaglutide, which is made for helping people with diabetes, is helping people lose large amounts of weight by making their favorite foods no longer appealing. The drug, which is sold under the brand names Wegovy and Ozempic, boosts insulin thus reducing cravings for unhealthy food. Many people say burgers and Chick-fil-A sandwiches are no longer appealing. Some have replaced chocolate with kale salads.
