Magic 98.3 is the official sponsor of the Broadway series at State Theatre New Jersey. Stomp coming to STNJ next month, and Joel and Maryann spoke with Max Meyer about his roles Ringo and Dr. Who in the amazing production coming to New Brunswick. Max Meyer was raised in Chester, New Jersey, where he fell in love with music at an early age. He moved to NYC to attend New York University, where he received his bachelor’s in Percussion Performance in 2021. While at NYU, Max traveled to Ghana to study West African percussion and dance, and to perform with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ghana. He is also a preschool music and movement teacher with Music Together, a world-renowned company. Max is very thankful for his family, who supported him wholeheartedly when he said he wanted to become a musician.

Stomp is coming to State Theatre New Jersey on Friday, December 2nd with two shows on Saturday, December 3rd. STOMP is explosive, provocative, and sophisticated, and it appeals to audiences of all ages. The international percussion sensation has garnered armfuls of awards and rave reviews and has appeared on numerous national television shows. The eight-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments, matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, and hubcaps to fill the stage with magnificent rhythms and sounds. Year after year, audiences worldwide keep coming back for more of this pulse-pounding electrifying show.  The return of the percussive hit also brings some new surprises, with some sections of the show now updated and restructured and the addition of two new full-scale routines, utilizing props like tractor tire inner tubes and paint cans.

State Theatre New Jersey has partnered with Replenish to help the community. They ask that you stop by the theatre and drop off some of the following to help Stomp out hunger: Canned Meats, Mac and Cheese, Fruits and Veggies, Dry Beans (red, black, or pinto), Stew, Cereal, Rice, Pasta, Granola Bars, Diapers, Wipes, Paper Products, Soap, Shampoo, and Toothpaste.
