Powerball Drawing Delayed TFN
Don’t quit your job just yet. The humungous, record-breaking, most money in a Powerball lottery drawing ever, more than we could ever spend in a lifetime almost 2 billion Powerball drawing was delayed Monday night due to security protocols. The lottery released a statement saying that due to a participating lottery needing extra time to complete the required security protocols that the humungous, record-breaking, most money in a Powerball lottery drawing ever, more than we could ever spend in a lifetime almost 2 billion Powerball drawing was delayed. The multi-state lottery association also said the delay is because a participating lottery needed additional time to process its sales.
Millions and millions of tickets were sold across the country.
The jackpot we are all waiting to win is $400 million more than the previous record of $1.586 billion. In total there have only been 4 jackpots that have topped $1 billion. Sales for this jackpot have been going on since August 6th and the last time someone won the Powerball was August 3rd.
Chances of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 292 million (so you’re saying there’s a chance!) and winners have the option of taking the payout right away instead of having it paid out over 29 years.
The cash payout for this drawing is about $929.1 million.
We spoke with some folks this morning about what they would do with all of that money.
Marie in Piscataway said that she would not only pay off her house but her sister’s house, her other sister’s hour, and every house of everyone in her family.
Ken in Sayerville said, “I would retire.” Ya think??
Kate in Flemington shared, “I would set up bank accounts for my kids, my future grandkids, my future great grandkids, my future great, great grandkids…” Ok, we get it!
If you have a ticket good luck whenever the drawing occurs!
