Phillip Phillips Coming to Mayo PAC in Morristown [Interview]
The Phillip Phillips Where We Came From Tour arrives at Mayo Performing Arts Center this Thursday, November 3 It was just over 10 years ago when Phillip burst onto the scene when he won American Idol Season 11 and released his debut single “Home” which went platinum five times over. The song was featured on his 2012 debut album, The World From The Other Side of the Moon. The album was well received by audiences, debuted at number four, and then went platinum. In 2014 he released his second album, Behind the Light, and Collateral in 2018. Miles in 2017, and in 2018 He’s toured with, shared a stage, and/or performed with the Goo Goo Dolls, John Mayer, Gavin DeGraw, American Authors and Bruce Springsteen. The Where We Came From Tour is a look back on the 10 years of Phillip Phillips debut record as well as a look forward to new music and a new chapter.
In anticipation of Phillip’s show at The Mayo Performing Arts Center on South Street in Morristown, New Jersey, Phillip spent a few minutes with Joel and Maryann to discuss spending time with his young son and family, what he wears on tour, what we should write about his nose, his experience with pickleball, his new music coming soon, and the current tour.
