When you think of good movies to watch this Halloween, some certainly come to mind including Nightmare Before Christmas, Halloween, or whatever your favorite Halloween movie is. But now it seems yet another iconic character is getting a bloody recreation.
The Grinch that stole Christmas certainly isn’t the first thought that comes to mind when thinking about Halloween, however, now it may be as a new film featuring the mean old Grinch will be streaming this December and something tells me Whoville is going to be decking the halls with boughs of bodies. David Howard Thornton (Terrifier 2) will be playing the green menace.
Instead of Whoville, the film will take place in Frazier Park, Where Cindy You-Know-Who played by Krystle Martin returns to the town after the Grinch killed her parents 20 Christmases ago, while in search of closure she learns that the monster’s bloodlust has only grown three sizes since that day. Honestly looking at the images for the film it looks pretty grim. I mean this is the new string line of horror films based on characters we grew up with.
If you remember the new horror slasher Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is being released sometime soon and features another childhood memory being twisted into a nightmare, so the only question is which cartoon character is next? Should we expect to see Barney the dinosaur wielding a machete in the near future or possibly Cookie Monster from Sesame Street isn’t hungry for cookies anymore? Hmmm yeah, Imma have to pass on that one, but The Grinch movie titled The Mean One will be streaming on December 15th so while not exactly released on Halloween you can still stay up to date on all your ghoulish frights right here with us.
