Chris Rock Gives Will Smith’s Apology The Cold Shoulder
It has been six months since the slap heard around the world occurred at the 94th Academy Awards ceremony this past March, with actor Will Smith and Comedian Chris Rock having a rocky relationship, however, Chris during his recent tour had some choice words to say about Smith’s apology.
From NJ.com in the video, Smith says his actions and behavior that night was unacceptable, in reference to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock after the comedian had made a joke about the appearance of Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Will went on to say that he has reached out to Chris, however, the comedian is not ready to talk. But oh boy did Chris talk alright.
For those who don’t know Chris Rock has said very little about the incident officially, however he has made reference to it during bits of his tours. Though during a shown by fellow comedian Dave Chappelle at London’s O2 Arena, Rock reportedly had a special message for the apology video that Will made in July saying “F*** your hostage video,” during one of his sets, he then went onto joke that Will can play Ali, when he can’t even play Mayweather. However, he wasn’t the only comedian that night to make comments as Dave had some words to say as well about the slap heard around the world.

Chappelle, like many others, has been very vocal about the whole situation and that didn’t change during his show as he claimed that Will Smith has been doing an impression of the perfect person, however now he has shown that he is just like everybody else. The comedian who is known for sparking controversy during his shows also went on to say “Whatever the consequences are, I hope he doesn’t put his mask back on again and lets his real face breathe. I see myself in both men.”
Will Smith may have issued an official apology, but so far Chris has made no official statement or taken any interviews on the matter.
