Girls Gone Wild Founder Defends Checking Out Kylie Jenner When She Was 18
Joe Francis, founder of adult entertainment franchise Girls Gone Wild, is defending himself over the photo he posted to social media in celebration of Kylie Jenner’s 25th birthday yesterday (August 10).
Francis, 49, posted a throwback photo to Instagram of the time he rang in Jenner’s 18th birthday on a boat alongside her friends Stassie Karanikolaou and Pia Mia Perez and her then-boyfriend, Tyga. He captioned the post, “Happy Birthday @kyliejenner !! I’m so proud of you and all your success!! It seems like yesterday that we were celebrating your 18th birthday together.”
In the photo, the Kylie Cosmetics founder is wearing a white bikini holding on to railings and slightly bending forward in front of her pals. Francis clearly looks to be checking out her rear, to which people in the comments section took notice.
One person asked, “You didn’t have a better picture — one where you weren’t checking her out?” In response, Francis said, “I’m a man. All straight men always are looking at beautiful women. That’s why I’m so successful. Are you saying you hate God for making us this way? No other straight man is different or Girls Gone Wild wouldn’t of made billions of dollars.”
He also said that Jenner is like a “sister to me” adding, “I think you’re the creepy one. Why would you even think that. I used to date her sister. I have three sisters too. I would never ever have sex with my sisters. That’s gross!” Francis dated Jenner’s eldest half-sister, Kourtney Kardashian, who he tagged in the response.
The Girls Gone Wild founder has faced numerous legal difficulties and convictions and filed for bankruptcy in 2013. The franchise was created by Francis in 1997, who occasionally appears as the host of the wet t-shirt competitions and booze-fueled Spring Break videos. Francis currently resides in Mexico, unable to return to California without risking jail time for a misdemeanor assault conviction in 2013.
