Actor Johnny Depp was sighted earlier this week in Paris, according to reports he will be returning to the big screen for the first time in three years. Though what do we know so far about this film and why is it an important piece in the actor’s career?

Well, this all is a follow-up to the results of the case revolving around Johnny and his ex-wife Amber Heard. A few weeks ago, Mr. Depp was awarded the sum of 15 million USD, and more recently it was falsely reported that the iconic actor would be returning to one of his most well-known roles as the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean series after a deal of over 300 million dollars was reached. However, to the dismay of fans who wished to see the actor reinstated as the character these rumors were false as said by Depp’s representative.

What is true is that after winning the case, Johnny Depp will be returning to acting as he has taken a role in France working for the French actress and filmmaker Maïwenn Le Besco. According to reports, Depp will be playing a past king of France Louis XV, alongside Maïwenn, who will be playing Countess Jeanne du Barry, Louis’s last mistress. This will be filmed over the summer for roughly about three months. As for location, one of the primary locations will be the Palace of Versailles which was once a royal residence.

This historical drama film, titled ‘Jeanne Du Barry’ will be the first time Johnny Depp is returning to film acting since 2018 when this controversy took off, with him only doing a mix of short T.V. miniseries and music videos. Though hopefully, we will receive a trailer within the coming months, until then keep up with all the latest pop culture with us.
