Cruise Ship Hits Iceberg On Its Way To Alaska

A Norwegian cruise ship was on its way to Alaska when it hit an iceberg on Saturday, June 25th.

The Norwegian Sun was rerouted to Juneau to be inspected. The ship’s Captain docked and then canceled the rest of the voyage. The ship is now heading back to Seattle for possible repairs.

According to ABC News, the cruise ship has canceled its nine-night Alaskan trip but luckily there are no reported injuries at this time.

    While this location isn’t to be confused with the exciting and beautiful location of our own Seaside Boardwalk here in the Garden state. It is known for having stunning white sand as well as a compact style meaning whatever you and your family could ever wish for is right there for you to see. And if the Florida heat ever gets to you there are tons of restaurants and bars for you to wind down in.

  • 5. Asbury Park, New Jersey

    Ever since the reconstruction of Asbury a loving and friendly community has really shaped the town for the better. With plenty of historic buildings to behold, this is the perfect play for a day trip with the family or even a nice mini vacation. With a fun beach and boardwalk, you can’t miss out on the opportunity to go site seeing and see for yourself what makes Asbury one of our hidden gems.

    Just a few hours away from the Garden state is our nations beautiful capital with always something new that you may have missed on your first few visits. Of course some of the known hot spots are the Smithsonian as well as the Washington Monument. With so much to explore and see you may need to spend more than a weekend just to see it all. But just like all the other items on this list it’s worth the visit.

    If you haven’t heard of LBI well it’s right here in New Jersey and it is beautiful the entire drive, with fun activities such as a mini boardwalk as well as mini golf you can enjoy a pretty city center surrounded by restaurants, gift shops and other locations for the family to enjoy. You can even enjoy looking out at the sea with a nice and clean beach.

    Home to the Gaylord National resort, this beautiful town has all the sites to see including a Ferris wheel, beautiful beach front and a city filled with shops for tourists. The entertainment your family can find is unlike any other in this historic city.

    Highlands is an amazing place filled with friendly residents and a national park to die for. If you or your family loves the great outdoors. You have to check out this park as it filled with bunkers as well as an amazing rock formation. However, that’s not all as there is also plenty of beautiful seaside restaurants to choose from as well as a beach to enjoy.

    Amusement parks are some of the best places to bring a family, and if you look for rustic and outdoors adventure you have to check out Elysburg as it is home to the fun and friendly Knoebels Amusement resort. A friendly campground/Amusement Park that has a lot to offer for a nice weekend or even a week-long getaway. If you want to explore the heart of what it means to be on vacation, this destination is a must see.
