Bleasure Trips Help Balance Work and Life
When it comes to mixing business and pleasure, business travelers are all about it, according to a new survey of 2,000 road warriors. 65% of those who have booked a business trip have taken their friends, significant other or family with them on the so-called “bleasure trip.” That is, as long as those guests don’t interfere in the business traveler’s actual work.
The same percentage also claim they’ve arrived at a destination of a work trip early, or stayed after they had to be there, to enjoy the trip more. Seventy percent of those polled say letting work pick up the tab for seeing a place they’ve never been is the best part about traveling for work, while 57% say they’re just happy to leave the office. 55% say they’re turning those trips into “bleasure” trips to help their work-life balance.
