Cinco de Mayo is one of the biggest beer-drinking holidays behind Father’s Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day. It's popularity jumped when beer companies leveraged in it's aggressive marketing campaigns. Cinco de Mayo is more popular in the US than in Mexico.
80% of the avocados grown in the U.S. come from California. It takes 72 gallons of water to grow a pound of avocados. Prices for avocados grown in Mexico remain high because of drug cartels, who extort farmers.
