Chick-fil-A employees are not allowed to say ‘you’re welcome’ or ‘no problem’. Company policy states they must say ‘my pleasure’. The company’s founder, Truett Cathy, got the idea to say ‘my pleasure’ after visiting a Ritz Carlton Hotel where employees smiled and responded with ‘my pleasure’ instead of ‘you’re welcome’. Truett had employees start using the phrase after he started the company in 1946. He said it makes them stand out.
