The nominees for the 43rd Annual Sports Emmy Awards were announced earlier this week and New York Giants legend Eli Manning made the cut.
The retired NFL quarterback received a nomination for ‘Outstanding Personality / Emerging On-Air Talent.’ Manning is currently a host on the alternate Monday Night Football broadcast ManningCast which was recently extended through the 2024 NFL season.
“With the most nominations in Sports Emmy history, this year’s competition is a proud moment for the entire industry,” said Justine Gubar, Head of Sports Awards, NATAS in a press release. “I am deeply looking forward to our first in-person sports ceremony since 2019 so that we can celebrate the groundbreaking accomplishments of the last year.”
The ceremony will take place live and in-person at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
