The Winners and Losers at This Year’s Grammys
The winners and losers at this year’s Grammys were a bit of a surprise. Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak was a “clean sweep” as the duo won all of their nominated categories; record of the year, song of the year, best R&B song, and best R&B performance.
John Batiste was the cool kid, winning five of the 11 Grammys he was nominated for including, Album of the Year for “We Are,” Silk Sonic won record and song of the year for “Leave the Door Open” and Olivia Rodrigo walked away with best new artist. Foo Fighters were the big rock winners sweeping all the non-metal categories winning 3 grammys.
Others that were expected to win but didn’t include, BTS, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Tony Bennett, and Lady Gaga.
Netflix and Apple TV + are no longer bidding on Will Smith’s biopic because of his Oscars incident with Chris Rock. Netflix and Apple+ have quietly removed their bids for a Will Smith. Meanwhile, work on “Bad Boys 4”, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, is being halted because of Will’s Oscars incident. Will received 40 pages of the script before the incident. Now, producers are halting production because they want to see what will happen next with Will.
