Walmart will stop selling cigarettes in some of its 4,700 U.S. locations. The decision comes after internal debate at Walmart about selling the product as the retailer aims to grow in health services.  Decisions about removing cigarettes at Walmart will be made on a store-by-store basis.

You may be asking why they would want to hurt their revenue by no longer selling these products.  Fact is the cigarette sales was not bringing in as much as the grab and go food or candy sold near the front of the stores and registers.
