Where Does New Jersey Land on List of Underpaid States and Workers?
According to a new study by Lensa about the lowest paid states, New Jersey is actually found to be one of the highest paid states.
We’re near the bottom of the list for lowest paid falling into the number 4 spot for highest paid. The only states that make more per capita income are New York at 3, Massachusetts at 2, and the highest paid state with an average salary of $78,609 is Connecticut.
New Jerseyans make an average of $73,460 annually or $36.60 an hour.
Which is the lowest paid state? Mississippi is at the top of that list with an average annual salary of $42,129, followed by West Virginia and Alabama.
