Have you ever looked up at the sky and wondered what space really looks like? Well thanks to a UK based company as well as the International Space Station (I.S.S). We as a society may be taking the next step into interstellar and space related content.
The company known as Space Entertainment Enterprise (S.E.E) has given further details regarding their plans to create a space station with the capabilities of generating content such as, films, livestreams and even sporting events. Could you imagine watching your favorite sports match live from space?

Construction on the first module has already begun and If everything goes according to plan S.E.E and their partners will be able to launch the first section sometime in late 2024. The module which has been dubbed the SEE-1 will initially be docked with the I.S.S as a part of their new commercial section, the Axiom Commercial Station. The Axiom Station will also handle manufacturing of the SEE-1 as it looks to blast off into space.
We are excited to be selected as manufacturer of SEE-1, a multipurpose inflatable module that will attach to Axiom Station and serve as the 1st media venue in space – expanding human activity in orbit and generating economic value and inspiration on Earth. https://t.co/OPoUaZOfq7

This multipurpose facility will also be in charge of attempting to make one of the first ever films actually shot in space with leading action star Tom Cruise. However, the first official film to be shot in space is actually coming out sometime this year. There is still information unknown about the film Tom Cruise will be a part of, but with hopes this will be a major step into world of space related content. As well as future plans to host TV shows, other films and sporting events. There are little to no details about the possibilities of these projects, but they can be counted among the goals for the station.
This revolutionary commercial station even plans on eventually becoming its own entity orbiting away from the ISS all together. There is little information about this, but it’s been reported that once final configurations have completed sometime in 2028 the Axiom Station will be ready to depart from the I.S.S. With the entertainment area reportedly being one-fifth of its volume. Of course, we’re all expecting this to stay in low orbit of the Earth, but that would still be a massive accomplishment for the teams involved with the project.
Some have taken this as either a joke or even said it’s too early for a project like this to become reality. But what do you think? Will the Axiom Commercial Station be capable of meeting the tough challenge of creating a revolutionary project? Let us know what you think as we grab out telescopes to pear into space.
