Tarot Tuesday: August 17, 2021
Hello, this is Debra from Golden Bee Tarot and Reiki. Welcome to the August 17th edition of Tarot Tuesday! This month we are working with the True Heart Intuitive Tarot by Rachel True.
Close your eyes and turn your attention inward. Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it for a count of four then slowly release the breath. When you feel calm and centered, open your eyes and connect with the cards. Choose the one you feel most drawn to, or perhaps two cards for deeper wisdom. Now that you’ve chosen your card, let’s take a look at the reveal.
1. Five of Cups (Rx): This week brings a chance for recovery and healing after a period of disappointment or loss. Five of Cups in the reversed position signifies a softening of any pain you may have endured. You are beginning to take tentative steps to move past your hurt and starting to create a new life for yourself. While you may still be feeling tender and unsure of your path, you understand that it’s time to put the past behind you and embrace your future. You have weathered the worst of your struggles. Know that you are coming out of this phase stronger and more resilient.
2. Prince of Swords (Rx): If you chose this card, you may be experiencing a lack of drive or confidence this week. The Knight of Swords reversed can indicate confusion or indecision. You may be living too much in your head, making it difficult to engage with what’s happening in your world. It’s time to sit yourself down and ask some hard questions. In order to get around this mental block, you first need to get to the root of your withdrawal and make an effort to understand why you feel the need to pull away. Process any negative emotions so you can get back to feeling like your old self.
3. Eight of Wands: It’s go time! You’re firing on all cylinders, your mind is sharp and your creative juices are flowing. Life is moving ahead at the speed of light and while it may sometimes feel a little overwhelming, you’re also filled with excitement and inspiration. Don’t hesitate to take a few risks this week. The Eights in the tarot are considered to be gate cards. They are portals that hold the potential to quickly carry you forward to the next phase of your journey. It’s important that you take advantage of this week’s energy. Use it to advance your plans and get your ideas out into the world.
