A potential fight between Conor McGregor and Jake Paul was brought up yesterday (July 8) before the Irishman faces off against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 tomorrow night.
McGregor didn’t exactly shoot down the possibility of fighting against Jake or his YouTuber brother Logan. When asked about either of them being cage-side for the Poirier fight, he replied, “I couldn’t care about them two dingbats.”
“I don’t see so, but never say never,” McGregor said about a potential fight with the 20-somethings. “If they’re gonna keep competing and whatnot, who f—ing knows? But dingbats, the two of ‘em.”
Jake Paul instigated McGregor on Twitter in a series of tweets that the Lightweight fighter doesn’t have that “it factor” anymore.
“You can tell Conor has lost ‘it.’ He no longer speaks from a place of authenticity & you can tell he’s trying to convince himself of his own lies. He takes offense to everything now. He’s bathing in his own insecurity’s. When we fight I will further expose him for the fraud he is,” Jake, 24, tweeted.

A few minutes later, he added another tweet taking a shot at McGregor’s performance from his last Poirier fight writing, “I had my jeweler custom make me a $100,000 dollar necklace of this frame. Reveal tomorrow.”
Some Twitter fans rallied behind Jake, with one user writing, “Jake is a better UFC fighter than Conor McGregor in my honest opinion.”

Per Fox News, Paul’s next fight will be against former UFC fighter Tyron Woodley August 1. Paul has yet to lose a boxing match, having already beaten Ali Eson Gib, Nate Robinson and Ben Askren. All the wins have come via technical knockout or knockout.
McGregor fights against Poirier in a rematch on Saturday. Their prior January fight ended in a TKO by Poirier at 02:32 in round 1.
