Tarot Tuesday: July 6, 2021

Welcome to the July 6th edition of Tarot Tuesday! This month we are working with the Everyday Witch Tarot by Deborah Blake.
Our focus for the week is how to best navigate the upcoming new moon in Cancer. Close your eyes and turn your attention inward. Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it for a count of four then slowly release the breath. When you feel calm and centered, open your eyes and connect with the cards.
Choose the one you feel most drawn to, or perhaps two cards for deeper wisdom. Now that you’ve chosen your card, let’s take a look at the reveal.
1. Ace of Swords: Your mind is sharp this week. Fresh ideas and mental breakthroughs are on deck for you. The new moon’s energy opens your mind and allows you to see all the possibilities that are available at this time. Give yourself the gift of some solitude to contemplate all of your prospects. Then plan your new moon intentions around taking steps to move your concepts from the mental realm to reality. Clarity and a fresh start are hallmarks of Ace of Swords energy. This is the moment when you see the truth and can finally act on your brilliant ideas!
2. Strength: This week’s new moon vibe may bring some emotional moments or storm clouds on the horizon. Don’t get stressed out and react with frustration or anger. There’s no need for you to throw your weight around in order to prove that you’re in charge. Instead, tame the beast by taking a controlled, neutral stance. Make a conscious effort to remain unruffled and manage any troublesome situations with quiet fortitude. You are much more powerful than you realize. Have confidence in your capabilities. You can easily handle anything life throws at you.
3. The Empress: This new moon period sparks a time of deep connection with the Divine Feminine aspect of yourself. Creativity, nurturing and a desire to caretake may all come to the forefront, guiding you to show your maternal side. The concept of fertility is deeply embedded in The Empress archetype so you may find yourself wanting to create or procreate! Note how The Empress’s hand rests protectively over her belly, signifying that they are in a time of gestation. Growth and pleasure are in abundance when this card comes forward. Embrace your feminine power!
