Courtney Stodden alleges that Chrissy Teigen did more than publicly tweet mean things to them, claiming that Teigen told them “to kill myself,” which Stodden contemplated.
Gossip web site TMZ reports that Stodden, who identifies as non-binary, claims Teigen all but salivated at the thought of Courtney dying. Stodden claims to have private DMs between the two saying as much. Stodden told The Daily Beast Teigen “wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take ‘a dirt nap’ but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, ‘I can’t wait for you to die.'”
Stodden first made headlines in 2011 when at the age of 16 they wed Doug Hutchison, a 50-year-old acting coach best known for his sadistic prison guard turn in The Green Mile. Though Stodden was underage, their mother signed off on it. Per The Daily Beast, what followed was a media firestorm that branded Stodden as the “teen bride,” becoming an object of widespread scorn and ridicule due to their deviant behavior, revealing outfits, heavy makeup, and large breasts.
Stodden, now 26, probably fired up Teigen when they called her a hypocrite in March for leaving Twiter, attributing her leave due to her feeling the platform “no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively.” Teigen returned to the site a few weeks later, saying it feels “TERRIBLE to silence yourself.”
Courtney told TMZ that was rich, considering Teigen bullied them for years and never apologized for it. Stodden considers Teigen a straight-up hypocrite for running from something she herself was perpetuating about a decade ago.
Stodden’s social media post on Instagram, now deleted, reacted to the news of Teigen’s Twitter leave. Stodden posted a screenshot of one of Chrissy’s old tweets from 2011 that made fun of the fact Stodden’s Facebook account had gotten shut down. The caption read at the time, “What a shame @chrissyteigen is leaving Twitter … it’s too ‘negative’ for herrrrrr #chrissyteigen #bully.”
Stodden says the bullying got so bad, “there have probably been five times that I’ve felt like I wanted to kill myself — and made the actions to go ahead and do it.” They added that the sense of loneliness is always lingering, and adds if their father had been around maybe they “wouldn’t feel so helpless in these circumstances, with so many of these Hollywood predators.”
