10 Crafts To Try At Home This Easter

Finding ways to celebrate holidays at home can be tough, but there’s plenty of ways to still have fun! Try some of these kid friendly crafts to stay busy at home for Easter.
1. Easter Bunny Mask
What You Need:
- Paper Plate
- Scissors
- Paper
- Construction Paper (black)
- Glue
- Markers
- Popsicle Stick
Directions:
- Start by grabbing your scissors and cutting out the center of your paper plate, leaving a large circle in the middle.
- Next, cut your pieces of paper into two separate ear shapes and color the inside part pink to look like a bunny’s.
- After your ears are made, cut the black construction paper into strips (these will be the bunnies whiskers so cut accordingly!)
- When you have all your pieces made, glue the ears to the top rim of the plate and glue the black whiskers on the sides.
- Lastly glue your popsicle stick on the bottom and you can place your face in the circle as a bunny mask!
2. Easter Bunny Cup
What You Need:
- Paper or Solo Cups (White)
- Googly Eyes
- Pipe Cleaners
- Pom Pom (pink)
- Paper
- Glue
- Marker
Directions:
- Cut your paper into two bunny shaped ears and use your markers to color part of the ear pink.
- On the front of your cup, use either a hot glue gun or normal glue stick (depending on the cup kind) to put the googly eyes on.
- Next wrap pipe cleaners around a pink pom pom ball so it looks like a nose and whiskers.
- Glue your nose and whiskers onto the front of the cup under the eyes.
- Lastly, glue the ears on the top of the cup next to the rim on the side opposite where the other items are glued.
- Fill your cup with either some tasty chocolates or jelly beans and enjoy!
3. Toilet Paper Roll Bunny
What You Need:
- Finished Toilet Paper Roll
- Construction Paper
- Glue
- Scissors
- Pipe Cleaners
- Cotton Balls
- Tape
- Googly Eyes
- Pom Pom
Directions:
- Wrap construction paper (whatever color you want your bunny) around your toilet paper roll and tape it together.
- Cut your construction paper into ear shapes for the bunny and add cotton balls around them to make them fluffy… like a bunny!
- Then glue the ears at the top of the toilet paper roll.
- Once these are glued, let them dry and work on wrapping a pink pom pom ball with pipe cleaners to look like whiskers for the bunny.
- Glue your googly eyes onto the bunny as well as the nose wrapped in whiskers.
- Let this all dry and show off your new bunny!
4. Popsicle Stick Chicks
What You Need:
- Popsicle Sticks (Yellow)
- Construction Paper (orange, yellow, and any background color)
- Glue
- Scissors
- Googly Eyes
Directions:
- Start by gluing five popsicle sticks next to each other vertically on the background piece of construction paper.
- Next, cut the yellow construction paper into wings for your chick and the orange into a small triangle for the beak and into feet for the chick.
- Glue your googly eyes onto the popsicle sticks towards the top. Then glue the triangle beak on as well.
- Glue your wings next to where the sticks end and the feet where they end at the bottom.
- If you’re feeling creative give your chick a colorful background with some markers and you’re all set!
5. Tissue Paper Baby Chick
What You Need:
- Tissue Paper (yellow)
- Paper Plate
- Glue
- Googly Eyes
- Construction Paper (orange)
- Pipe Cleaners (orange)
Directions:
- Get started by gluing your tissue paper so that it covers the entire paper plate. Be sure to rip it up as you glue so it gets a feathered looking texture.
- Next, Cut a small triangle out of your orange construction paper for the beak of the chick.
- Glue the googly eyes and beak onto the tissue paper.
- Lastly, shape your pipe cleaners into legs and feet for the chick.
- Glue these on and you have a nice Easter decoration!
6. Easter Bunny Puppet
What You Need:
- Paper Bag
- Construction Paper (white and pink)
- Pipe Cleaners
- Pom Pom (pink)
- Markers
- Glue
- Scissors
Directions:
- Start by cutting your white construction in order to fir over the front of the paper bag and to act as two ears. Once it is the proper size, glue it on.
- Next, cut your pink construction paper into one big oval for the bunny’s stomach, two small circles for cheeks, and two long shapes that will go inside the ears.
- Once all your shapes are ready, glue the two pink ear pieces inside the white and glue them on the bendable part of the bag.
- Then, glue the two cheek circles on this part as well and the big oval on the long part of the bag.
- Glue the pom pom right between the cheek circles so it is the bunny’s nose.
- Cut the pipe cleaners so they look like little whiskers and glue them onto the cheeks of the bunny.
- Lastly use your markers to draw on some eyes for this little creature and show everyone your new puppet!
7. Easter Suncatcher
What You Need:
- Tissue Paper
- Construction Paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- String
Directions:
- Cut the shape of either a bunny, egg, or any other Easter object that sparks your interest. Once you have an initial shape, cut out the center of the shape so just the rim of it is left.
- Cut your tissue paper into small pieces with multiple different colors and patterns.
- Glue your tissue paper to the inside of your shape outline until it is completely filled.
- Poke a hole in the top of your outline and tie the string through it so it’s able to easily be hung.
8. Pom Pom Chicks
What You Need:
- Pom Pom (yellow)
- Googly Eyes
- Orange fabric
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
Directions:
- Grab a yellow pom pom because this will be your chick. Cut the orange fabric into a small triangle and two feet shaped pieces.
- Glue the googly eyes onto the yellow pom pom. Then follow up by gluing the orange triangle onto the face as a beak and the feet pieces to the bottom
- Play with your new chick, or make some more!
9. Paint Filled Eggs Canvas
What You Need:
- Emptied Eggshells
- Paint
- Blank Canvas
Directions:
- To start, the eggshells must be emptied of the yolk and cleaned. Carefully use your finger to break off the top of the shell wide enough to get the yolk out.
- Once emptied, gently rinse the inside so there are no remains of the egg inside.
- Next fill the eggshells with paint colors of your choosing.
- Set your canvas up outside and get ready to toss some eggs!
- Throw your paint filled eggs at the canvas and see what abstract art you create!
10. Paper Plate Sheep
What You Need:
- Paper Plate
- Paper
- Construction Paper (black)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Googly Eyes
Directions:
- Start off by cutting your white paper up into all different size strips and pieces to cover your plate in.
- Next cut your black construction paper into four equal strips for the sheep’s legs.
- Once everything is cut, glue the white pieces of paper all over your plate to represent the sheep’s wool. Then glue the black strips to the bottom of your sheep.
- Once you have the body, cut a circular head and two oval shaped ears out of the black construction paper. Glue these pieces onto the white cut up pieces on the body.
- Lastly glue your googly eyes onto the sheep’s face.
