Beyoncé just broke the record for most Grammys won by a female artist ever.
For Best R&B Performance, Beyoncé won her 28th Grammy for “Black Parade.” She also took the wins for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “Savage,” and Best Music Video for “Brown Skin Girl.”
She passed country-bluegrass artist Alison Krauss, who held the record with 27 Grammys, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Beyoncé said in her record-breaking acceptance speech, “I wanted to uplift, encourage celebrate all the beautiful black kings and queens.”
She also thanked and recognized 9-year-old Blue Ivy’s win, also for Best Music Video for “Brown Skin Girl” saying, “Congratulations to Blue, she won a Grammy tonight!”
Queen B has so far been nominated 79 times by the Recording Academy, ten of those from this year’s Grammys.
