- people on the "Mediterranean Diet" have brains that appear six years younger than those on a traditional Western diet
- diets that emphasize fruits, vegetables, fish, and whole grains have the most positive effect on overall brain health
- diets that emphasize red and processed meat, fried food, and low whole grains are associated with faster cognitive decline
