New Jersey is among 23 states raising the minimum wage for 2021.
On Friday, January 1, most workers living in the Garden State will get a raise from $11 to $12 per hour.
The increase is part of a gradual increase in the minimum wage to $15 per hour under legislation signed by Governor Murphy in February 2019.
“New Jersey is on a path to a $15/hr minimum wage- to uplift working families and strengthen our economy,” Murphy shared to Facebook.
