Increasing Your Water Intake Could Make You Happier
One Poll asked 2,000 Americans how much water they drink daily and how happy they feel. The results revealed that reports of happiness varied depending on water consumption. Adults were three times more likely to feel “very happy” if they reported drinking enough water. 80 % of adults who drink ten or more glasses of water a day claimed they were “very happy,” whereas 24 % of adults who don’t drink water every day claimed they were “not very happy.”
The adults who reported drinking ten or more glasses a day were more likely to rate themselves “very energetic” and “very successful.” These results together conclude that the more water you drink, the more likely you are to feel very happy, and the less water you drink, the less likely you are to feel very happy.
