UPS Has Told Drivers Across the Country to Stop Picking up Packages From 6 Retailers
UPS has reportedly told drivers across the country to stop picking up packages from six retailers, including Gap, Nike, L.L. Bean and Macy’s, as the shipping company attempts to keep up with a record-breaking online shopping season amid the coronavirus pandemic. In an internal message obtained by The Wall Street Journal and confirmed by various UPS workers in different regions, the delivery company announced the temporary shipping restrictions on the retailers. Meanwhile the packaging supplier DS Smith says Santa is going to be slower this year because of excess gift packaging. The company says excessive packaging by online retailers will cause Santa’s sleigh to be 43,259 tons heavier than normal. This will slow him down by an hour and 24 minutes.
