And the #FreeBritney movement continues. A Los Angeles court has rejected Britney Spears' wishes to have her father, Jamie Spears, removed as the conservator of her estate. Per Page Six, even though the judge made the ruling, she has agreed to hear future arguments for his suspension or removal.
The outlet also states that shockingly, Britney refuses to perform as long as he is in charge. Her lawyer said in court, "My client has informed me that she is afraid of her father. She will not perform again if her father is in charge of her career."
Jamie Spears' lawyer added, "I don't believe there is a shred of evidence to support my client's suspension." She also added that Britney's statements about her dad are "inadmissible hearsay."
In a statement to the court, Britney's mom made a statement through her lawyer and chimed in about the toxic relationship between Britney and her father. The lawyer said, "It has broken Lynne’s heart that things have come to this point. Contentiousness is not uncommon in families, but this is not a usual family."
