New York / USA - March 26 2020: Empty streets of New York at Times Square 42nd street during pandemic virus Covid-19

Most will tell you, New York City is gorgeous around the holidays. Many typically flock from all over the country to see the infamous Rockefeller tree. Well, this year that may not be so easy.

New York Gov Andrew Cuomo announced Saturday (October 31) all visitors to New York must test negative for COVID-19 3 days before travel. This replaces the state’s 14-day mandatory quarantine policy.

New York currently has the third-lowest positivity rate of COVID in the country with 1.49%. The new rules go into effect November 4 and will not apply to travel between New York and Connecticut, New York and Pennsylvania, and New York and New Jersey.
