Three State Troopers helped deliver a baby on the New Jersey Turnpike on May 16.

Troopers Robert Murray, Pierre Noel, and Marcin Ziobron, of Troop “D” Cranbury Station, responded to a medical assist on the Turnpike in Middlesex County at approximately 10:05 a.m. on Saturday.

“When the troopers arrived, the woman’s husband, a truck driver, led them to the cab of his tractor where his wife was lying in a bunk preparing to give birth,” New Jersey State Police shared to Facebook.

The mother and baby were immediately transported to Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick. According to the New Jersey State Police, they were both last listed as stable and doing well.
