All New Jersey residents are now required by law to wear a face mask when shopping at a supermarket.
Customers and employees must wear face coverings in order to help flatten the curve at this time. In addition, the state is now aiming to mitigate overcrowding at all essential retail stores.
“All essential retail must indefinitely limit the number of customers in their stores to 50% of their approved capacity,” Governor Murphy said. “And if we don’t see adherence to this, you can assume, as we have had with other steps, that 50% will go down.”
Governor Murphy made it clear that there is one set of rules for everyone in New Jersey and these restrictions must be followed throughout the state.
