NEW YORK, NY - MARCH 17: A hallway is empty on what would otherwise be a school day as teachers and faculty members learn remote teaching and methods for students at Yung Wing School P.S. 124 in the Manhattan borough of New York City. Public schools in New York City have been shut down until at least until April 20th amid the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images)

I came across this song parody this morning and I have to share it with you!  A very talented New Jersey Principal raps about online learning due to the Coronavirus. She obviously has some sort of musical or directing background to pull off a song this good in a short period of time!  Give a listen as Brackman Middle School Principal Shannon Smith parodies ‘The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air’ Theme Song

Lyrics include:

In Barnegat New Jersey we are in a craze
on the computer is where we’ll spend most of our days
loggin’ on typin’ out lots of essays
teachers be gradin’ assignments in a paperless way
for a couple of weeks we’ll take it nice and slow
before you know it you’re a Google classroom pro
if you forget to post your work you’ll give your teachers a scare
they’ll say you’re the reason for all my gray hair
If you remember my rules you’ll be just fine
it’s the Bulldog way do your job and be kind
of course the situation is unusually rare
in your home on a computer screen is where you will stare
Bulldogs we can do it I believe in you
It’s me your principal cheerin’ for you

During this time, I think we all need a chuckle! Thanks Principal Smith for helping the kids be entertained – Maryann Morgan – Joel & Maryann in the Morning
