New Jersey Festival of Ballooning Hopeful to Return in 2020
The New Jersey Festival of Ballooning first launched in 1993 and has grown into the largest hot air balloon festival in North America. Unfortunately, the main sponsor of the annual event has stepped away after 27 years.
According to NJ.com, 2,500 people are employed by the annual festival each year. In 2019, the festival brought in $52.4 million for the state with a record breaking crowd of 169,500 people.
“At this time, 2020 festival tickets are not on sale,” New Jersey Festival of Ballooning website states. “So wish us good luck and in the meantime, please circle July 24-26 on your calendar, and check back periodically to the website and social media for updates.”
The 2020 New Jersey Festival of Ballooning is expected to return on location at the Solberg Airport in Readington, New Jersey this summer. The company is hoping to make an announcement in February and are currently in discussion with a new potential partner.
