POLL: Who Do You Want to Win Best New Artist at the 2020 GRAMMYs?
Are you ready for Music’s Biggest Night? The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards will air live this Sunday, January 26th and there’s one category in particular that everyone in the room will be talking about.
The Recording Academy will recognize eight acts in the prestigious Best New Artist category at the 2020 GRAMMYs. The nominees include Black Pumas, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Maggie Rogers, Rosalia, Take And The Bangas, and Yola.
Each nominee had a breakout year in music serving the entertainment industry with a few of today’s biggest hits. Tracks such as Eilish’s “Bad Guy,” Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, and Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts,” helped them along their journey of setting a record-breaking year.
“First of all, eligible artists must have achieved a breakthrough into the public consciousness and impacted the musical landscape during the year’s eligibility period,” the GRAMMYs website states. “This speaks to the essence of why Best New Artist is one of the most-anticipated categories of the year, honoring exciting new talent in the music world.”
