The Backstreet Boys’ ‘Let It Be Me’ Video With Steve Aoki Is A Tearjerker, So Grab The Tissues Now
Backstreet’s back with a new video and it’s more than alright. It’s inspirational.
Steve Aoki and the Backstreet Boys’ “Let It Be Me” video features people who have faced their own challenges including coming out and dealing with a loved one’s cancer diagnosis. And in the black and white clip directed by Tyler Dunning Evans, they’re sharing how love helped them overcome it all.
Don’t worry, the Backstreet Boys also make an appearance, showing up in designer suits to let you know, “Nothing that’s easy is worth it/ Nothing that’s worth it is perfect, yeah/I been thinkin’ to myself, to myself/ I want you all to myself, no one else/ Even if it gives me hell, baby/ I would take it all for ya.”
While the DJ and BSB might seem like an odd pairing, Aoki said in a statement, per Entertainment Tonight, he was excited to be “collaborating with a group that I’ve been listening to since I was a kid.” Especially for a song, he said, “has a beautiful message and relates to a lot of different people overcoming challenges when you love someone, and love always wins in the end. I’m really proud of this one and know it will touch a lot of people.”
