Kesha’s Kitty Just Beat Taylor Swift’s Cats For This Purr-fect Prize
Sorry, Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson, but Mr. Peeps just took your crown. Billboard ran a very important poll to see which pop star’s cat fans like best. Turns out it’s Kesha’s cat. And in honor of this sweet victory, Kesha posted a YouTube video to celebrate that may also encourage fans to adopt their own forever friends.
“He doesn’t even know what to say to his fans, he’s so grateful,” Kesha said on behalf of Mr. Peeps, who was snuggled up on a chair behind her. And honestly, who wouldn’t be speechless after beating some tough competition like Taylor Swift’s aforementioned cats and Katy Perry’s Kitty Purry.
Mr. Peeps hasn’t had an easy life, as Kesha points out in the video. “He started in a garbage can outside of a strip club that was very trashy. He was down in the dumps, literally,” she said. “Then I was walking by, leaving the strip club, and then my friend exclaimed, ‘There’s this beautiful cat in this garbage can!'”
That’s a real rags to riches story that we can all get behind.
